Abstract:
Pete Furlong is an expert Project Manager in the area of earned value management. He will present an overview of Earned Value Management including project baseline, planned value, earned value, budgeted cost and schedule and the earned value metrics of cost and schedule variance. His presentation will benefit anyone who is new to earned value and a refresher for anyone who has practiced it in the past.

Pete Furlong has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineer and a Master’s Degree in Business. His credentials include being a Project Management Professional, a Registered Professional Engineer, and an Earned Value Professional. Pete has 15 years of experience working for the Department of the Navy as a Nuclear Engineer and Project Manager and 17 years with the Department of Energy, working as a Project Manager for multi-billion dollar construction projects and is currently the County Project Manager for both Capital Construction and Capital Improvements.
