 Abstract:
 Alliance for Manufacturing and Technology (AM&amp
 \;T) was established in 1988 as a private\, non-profit organization to hel
 p small and mid-size manufacturers and high-tech start-ups .&nbsp\; AM&amp
 \;T is part of the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) program.&nbsp
 \; The MEP program is a nation-wide network of centers\, one in every stat
 e and Puerto Rico.&nbsp\; Each Center is a partnership between the federal
  government and a variety of public or private entities\, including state\
 , university\, and non-profit organizations. The program has a singular mi
 ssion to help small to mid-sized manufactures be more productive\, profita
 ble\, and competitive.&nbsp\; AM&amp\;T is part of the NY Manufacturing Ex
 tension Partner (NYMEP)\, which is made up of ten regional centers and one
  state-wide center. AM&amp\;T:
 
 Offers end-to-end business services to
  help organizations Plan\, Perform\, Profit and Grow.
 Connects regional 
 manufacturers to resources available at the local\, regional\, and nationa
 l levels\, including technical assistance and project funding opportunitie
 s.
 Provides economic impact to the community and region. AM&amp\;T has p
 rovided over $750 million in total economic impact over the last five year
 s.

   Spe
 aker: Carol Miller has extensive knowledge of the Southern Tier’s manufa
 cturing sector and has a proven track record of success. Carol works close
 ly with AM&amp\;T’s clients\, stakeholders\, and partners. As the Execut
 ive Director\, Carol is building on AM&amp\;T’s past successes and is le
 ading the organization in customizing and expanding its services to better
  serve the manufacturing community. Carol joined the organization as a Pri
 ncipal Consultant in 2004. She has helped clients achieve millions in impa
 ct through the application of Lean Thinking Principles and Manufacturing O
 perations Excellence. Carol has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from SUNY
  Buffalo\, and a M.S. in Management of Technology from Polytechnic Univers
 ity. She is a member of the Association for Manufacturing Excellence (AME)
  and holds various professional and industry certifications.
